Massage Plan - IRONMAN Weymouth and 70.3 Race

Background
The following is a plan for massage at IRONMAN Weymouth and 70.3 race. The massage area will be in a Marquee at the Pavillion from the 9-11th. There will be 2000 athletes in attendance. The address is Weymouth Pavilion, Weymouth, Dorset, DT4 8ED
Set Up & Requirements
Friday 9th September from 09:00 until 17:00
£10 per 10 minute massage paid directly to therapist
5 qualified therapists required
Saturday 10th September from 09:00 until 15:00
£10 per 10 minute massage paid directly to therapist
5 qualified therapists required
Sunday 11th September from 11:00 to 23:00 RACE DAY
UNPAID volunteering day (Students welcome)
40 therapists required.
Please note that with regards to the PAID days preference will be given to qualified therapists who also volunteer their time for race day.
Access
Please be aware that road closures may disrupt planned routes to get to the Promenade. Please see the website to check your route.
Qualifications
Please take insurance and proof of qualifications with you for Friday and Saturday. If you are a student please explain this to the athlete you are massaging. You are covered by the IRONMAN Public liability when providing free massages on Race day.
Marketing
You are allowed to take a pop up banner and hand out leaflets to each athlete that you massage.
Volunteers
We will provide a volunteer pack for you which includes: T-shirt, snack box and water. Please take your own lunch and water for the day as well as warm clothes.
Parking
There is car parking in the surrounding area of the pavilion in multi-storey car parks.
Security
Please be advised that we do have on site security but anything you do leave will be at your own risk.
