Synopsis:
The foot and ankle are complex structures which vary from individual to individual. Understanding how the foot and ankle complex works is essential for any professional involved in treatment or human performance. The evidence relating to foot function and biomechanics has evolved significantly over the last 40 years. This session will explain the functional anatomy and biomechanics of the foot and ankle simply and clearly. Attendees will gain a clear insight into how feet and ankles become injured and how multidisciplinary treatment is essential in delivering consistent patient outcomes
